Opposition mounts in proposed fee hike

SDSU groups split on merit of increase

A San Diego State advisory committee is expected to make a recommendation today on a student fee increase proposal that's been described as “critical” to the future of SDSU athletics. The $160 annual increase has been narrowly endorsed by SDSU's student government and is expected to get a positive recommendation.

But opposition has mounted in recent weeks, critics say, because the process to enact the fee increase seems like a charade to them.
