This group's love of Stones-ish grooves and the bohemian sentiment of The Velvet Underground remain on its sixth album, but its palette also includes spacey rock jams, funky guitar pop and deep electronica. The Dandys also keep things light and fun with the funky faux-R&B of “Welcome to the Third World,” hit a riotous honky-tonk note with “The Ballad of Sherriff Shorty” and drown us with the dreamy ballad “Love Song.”
