LONDON – EasyJet PLC, Europe's second-largest budget airline, said Friday that it flew 24 percent more passengers in August than it did in the same month last year, following price cuts.
The airline carried 4.6 million passengers in August, compared to 3.7 million a year earlier.
The proportion of seats filled rose to 91.3 percent from 87.4 percent last August.
Its shares fell 1.8 percent to 340.5 pence ($6.01) in London.
